Announcing the formation of P. Garrett & Associates, Inc.
As many of you are aware, after careful consideration I have finally decided to take a leap of faith and form my own company.

There are many reasons why I felt now was the time. Probably the most significant factor is my observation that the consulting services industry is undergoing a major change. Gone are the high flying days of the 90s. Some of the notable industry changes from the client perspective include:

Dennis Fletcher has just finished up a 20 month assignment for the storage group at Digital Equipment Corp. You can see his work on the StorageWorks Website (www.digital.storage.com) under News/articles. He is back doing what he likes to do best - assisting emerging technology firms with the planning and execution of their marketing.

He says the advent of the Internet and Intranets has allowed him to conduct his consultancy from anywhere, so he recently moved to York Beach, Maine (featured in the December Sports Illustrated as the best surfing beach in New England) and is enjoying this deserted summer playground before the tourists arrive.

I have recently left the teaching profession and launched full-time into web site design and development. I have been designing and developing web sites, as a hobby, for three years. I can't imagine being paid for doing something that I enjoy so much! I am partnered with Vanguard Graphics.
